American computerised gaming equipment designer and manufacturer International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that its portfolio of online slot games has been expanded with the launch of Fire Opals.

Las Vegas-based IGT stated that the online version of Fire Opals is based on the land-based game of the same name that has been one of its ‘top performing’ titles ‘over the last five years’.

IGT revealed that its volcano-themed Fire Opals utilises MultiWay Xtra wagering to provide players with up to 720 ways to win for only a 50 coin stake and is available to operators via its IGT Casino remote gaming server (RGS) in 15 languages and 31 currencies.

“Taking land-based hit games and turning them into online favourites has been a real success story at IGT Interactive,” said Gideon Bierer, Interactive Executive Vice-President for IGT.

“In December, we launched Pixies Of The Forest online and it has topped the IGT game charts during its first two months. Fire Opals is an exciting addition to our portfolio, which we are sure will be as successful as Pixies of the Forest.”
