UB.COM Launches 2011 WSOP Satellites

UB.COM Launches 2011 WSOP Satellites

7 March 2011

MIAMI, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- There's nothing bigger in the world of Texas Hold 'em than the World Series of Poker ("WSOP"), and the easiest way for players to make their way to Vegas to be part of that tournament rush is to win a seat online. This year UB.com, the cool crew to hang with in Sin City, is giving players a shot at millions in dollars and Main Event glory with its 2011 WSOP satellite schedule and a revamped Show Up, Get Paid promotion, set to kick up the stakes a notch, from Sunday, March 6th.

Qualify on UB by winning a 2011 WSOP* Main Event Package worth $12K, either all the way from a 10 cent STEP 1 tournament, or by crushing the competition in one of the many $500 30 buy-in Super Satellites from March 6th to July 3rd ( satellite qualifiers for as low as $10 will run for every $500 30 Super Satellite). Plus, UB will host two 25-seat Guaranteed tournaments at 16:00 ET on Sunday, June 12th and on Sunday June 26th, set to award at least 50 WSOP* Main Event packages across the pair of big seat giveaways.

"With Show Up, Get Paid we are making it even easier for our players to make their way to Vegas for the WSOP in 2011, plus there's so many different ways for players to qualify," said Team UB's Joe Sebok. "The Team UB crew will be out in full force this Summer so you never know, you may wind up chatting poker with Prahlad Friedman or sharing strategy in the UB suite with Maria Ho or Eric Baldwin. Be sure to win your seat on UB and get there!"

It makes no difference how a player wins their seat, just as long as they do it at UB.com. The online poker site is putting hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table through its Show Up, Get Paid promotion. Qualify at UB.com, turn up at the tables in Las Vegas, and take a seat in the Main Event sporting the UB brand; you automatically bank the $1,000 cash bonus even if your Aces get cracked, you suffer a bead beat and bust early on -- just for showing up, and all before the cards are even in the air.

There'll be no exiting empty-handed, because that $1,000 is guaranteed, and it keeps on growing as a player runs deeper into the action of the world's richest annual poker marathon, awarding up to $20,000 for surviving the competition long enough to make it to Day 8 of play.

There's also more money up for grabs in the form of a final table sponsorship deal to players who go deep enough to score a place in the November Nine. No matter how much longer a player survives this final fling at the felt, there's extra money to pocket, up to a cool $1 Million just by representing UB at the WSOP* final table.

Rounding out the list of Vegas promotions is a competition that makes it worthwhile for poker players to win multiple $12,000 WSOP* prize packages. The "King of Satellites" leaderboard competition will award over $10,000 in Tournament Dollars to the top 5 players who win the most Main Event seats. The extra Tournament Dollars are in addition to the $12,000 in cash that players will receive for each extra seat won.

So, there's no doubt about it, Team UB will have the edge at this year's WSOP*. Qualify for the Main Event at UB.com to experience the ultimate Texas Hold'em tournament on the world's biggest stage, and hang with some of the game's best-known pros, including Team UB Pros Joe Sebok, Prahlad Freidman, Eric Baldwin, Brandon Cantu, Adam Levy and Maria Ho.

Win A Day Casino Launches New Video Poker Game

Win A Day Casino Launches New Video Poker Game
1 March 2011

LONDON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Since Win A Day Casino players love video poker so much, the whimsical online casino site has just launched another new video poker game, the new Jacks or Better. Like the Bonus Poker, Double Double Bonus Poker and Deuces Wild games that are so popular at the site, the new game plays up to 50 hands at a time and features a special double-or-nothing bonus round.

To celebrate the launch of the new game, everyone that logs onto the site between now and March 9th will automatically get $15 deposited in their account. WinADayCasino.com is giving additional cash bonuses up to $500 to players that try the new game.

In the Jacks or Better video poker game, the lowest win is Jacks or Better. A full deck of 52 cards is used and each card can only be dealt once. When a total win accumulated from hands equals or exceeds total wagers, a Playoff Round is triggered. Players can collect their winnings or take a chance at doubling them. If they hit the Double button, five new cards are dealt, one up four down. Players double their money if they pick a card of higher value than the exposed card from the four cards facing down. They can play the bonus round again to double their winnings up to five times in a row.

Players automatically qualify for Jacks or Better bonuses when they place bets playing the new Jacks or Better between now and March 9th. The 30 players with the most total bets on Jacks or Better during the launch celebration week will win up to $500. Additional $250 and $500 bonuses will be paid to the three players with the highest payouts on a single round.

With a new game being added pretty well every month, WinADay was re-designed recently to make it easier to browse and select games from the growing menu. Regular players find the new Favorites tab a great way to go straight back to the games they play most often. With Jacks or Better, WinADayCasino.com now has 23 one-of-a-kind slot machines, video poker, roulette and keno games. They're all instant-play online casino games so there's no downloading or installation required.

All slots games at WinADayCasino.com are tied to the site's progressive jackpot which is currently just over $100,000.

888 Poker launches "pokercam"

888 Poker launches "pokercam"
24 Feb 2011

(PRESS RELEASE) -- 888, one of the world's most popular gaming entertainment companies, has launched a groundbreaking "pokercam" option for 888 Poker, innovating to again provide players with something that they have not experienced before.

The poker cam tables, powered by ooVoo, a leading video communication service provider with a best-in-class mobile video chat solution, will be available from the main lobby and will allow players to see their opponents while playing a Texas Hold'em Cash game.

The option builds on the strong social aspects of the 888 poker rooms, which already lead their way in the use of personalised avatars providing an immersive social experience in which players can interact together.

The addition of the "Teams Tournament" feature adds a further dimension to 888's social play. This innovative type of tournament gives players the option of joining a virtual team in a regular tournament format. However, in addition to the traditional prize-pool, players score points for their team, and a portion of the prize is allocated to all of the players that belong to the winning team. Players can group together to face off as rival football teams or cities, adding an emotional level to the play, with links to major social networking sites letting people know when like-minded people have joined a tournament.

As well as these innovations in the game play, the "late registration" option means that there is always a tournament to join, even at off-peak times. An improved lobby also gives a better user experience, and allows quick and easy entry to tables.

The new offer builds on the enormously successful launch of Poker 6 in June 2010, which overhauled the Poker platform and provided an intuitive usability that targeted the casual player. The platform also allowed players to play Poker in 3D.

Hili Shakked, Director of Poker Offering, 888holdings, said:

"Through the addition of video streams to our hugely successful Poker 6 we are offering an even more personal, inclusive, and social environment. On top of this, the chance to play as part of a team in the Team Tournaments, provides a competitive edge that allows players to meet and play with other like-minded people."

Poker Pros Network Launches

A new poker site – the Poker Pros Network – is set to launch on the Cake network. The site is backed by a number of professional poker players, including six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner T.J. Cloutier. The news comes less than a month after Doyle’s Room left Cake to join the Yatahay network.

Poker Pros Network Launches

Feb 20th, 2011

Several brand name players serve as the front men for the Poker Pros Network, which launched on the Cake Poker Network over the weekend. The site offers a $500 first-time deposit bonus and is headquartered in Costa Rica.

Chuck Kidd, CEO of the Poker Pros Network, was excited to bring his vision to life for players from the United States and around the world. Kidd commented in a press release, “We are proud to team with Cake Poker Network, a proven world class organization, to bring this unique PPN experience to the poker world. We have currently signed top online pro players, as well as brick-and-mortar pros, to play at the PPN. The allure of playing against the world’s best online poker players has already been proven. At PPN, we make it easy to interact with the PPN pro players of your choice on your schedule and within your budget.”

Poker Hall of Fame member T.J. Cloutier is perhaps the new site’s best-known pro. Cloutier owns six World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, tied for the ninth most overall, and has amassed over $4 million in career WSOP earnings. Cloutier’s last piece of hardware came in 2005 and he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame one year later alongside Billy Baxter.

Women in Poker Hall of Fame members Barbara Enright and Marsha Waggoner are also icons for the Poker Pros Network. Enright and Waggoner were inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of fame three years ago as part of its founding class along with Poker News Daily Guest Columnist Linda Johnson and poker author Susie Isaacs.

Other pros on the Poker Pros Network include former IronDuke pro Jennifer “Jennicide” Leigh, James Worth, Charlie Marchese, Josh Brikis, Michael Schuerpf, Vincent “Diamond8” Gabel, Kevin “Civell” Vandermissen, Jonathan “driverseati” Tamayo, actress Jennifer Elise Cox, Matias Gabrenja, Young Phan, PokerXFactor instructor Chris “Fox” Wallace, Jena Delk, and WSOP bracelet winner Chris Reslock. The brand also offers a casino and sports book.

The Cake Poker Network recently saw the departure of DoylesRoom, which left to join the smaller Yatahay Poker Network, whose flagship site is TruePoker. As a result, peak cash game player counts on the Cake Poker Network have routinely fallen below 1,000 according to PokerScout.com.

On January 27th, the final day that DoylesRoom made its home on the Cake Poker Network, a peak of 1,356 cash game players was recorded. The next day, that number was just 961. In the first 27 days of January, the peak cash game player count on the Cake Poker Network fell below 1,000 just once. In the first 19 days of February, that has occurred 10 times.

As you’d imagine, Cake Poker Network officials were elated to bring a new skin into the fold. Cake’s Marketing Director Andrew Turner commented in the same press release, “We are very excited to have the Poker Pros Network and their pros join the Cake Network. They are a great partner for us, as they bring a strong brand and continue to expand our growing network of professional online poker players who strive for online poker excellence.”

The Poker Pros Network was planning a weekly bounty tournament where one player will walk away with a prize package for the 2011 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. However, no further information about the tournament was given on its website at the time of writing.

The lobby of the Poker Pros Network will highlight which pros are online at any given moment, making the process of playing with poker’s brightest stars a fairly simple endeavor.
