Everyone cashes at the WSOP with Everest Poker

Everyone cashes at the WSOP with Everest Poker
$1 Million is up for grabs.

Everest Poker, official sponsor of the World Series of Poker 2010, once again makes the biggest poker show on Earth even sweeter for its qualifiers with the “$1 Million Match” promotion. When you qualify for the WSOP with Everest Poker, you don’t need to make it into the money to fly home as a winner! Everest Poker will match the combined winnings of all its qualified players at the WSOP up to a one million dollars. This money will then be shared equally among all Everest qualifiers, no matter how they finished. Quite simply, all Everest Poker qualifiers are automatically eligible for their share of $1 Million.

Last year, Antoine Saout, a 25-year old French player from Brittany, France, qualified online with Everest Poker for the WSOP Main Event. He played the tournament of his life, making the November Nine and finishing 3rd, cashing approximately $3.5 Million.

It was not just great for Antoine, but also for the 51 other players who also qualified online at Everest. The full $1 Million Match was met and everyone shared a piece of it — $19,607 per player! As a result, all Everest Poker qualifiers played the WSOP Main Event for free while also taking home additional cash. The $1 Million Match extended more than financial benefits. Throughout the tournament, Everest Poker players supported each other as a true team at the world’s biggest live poker event . Smart players have more than one reason to qualify with Everest Poker for the 2010 WSOP. This year Everest Poker will extend the $1 Million Match to also include all Everest qualifiers of WSOP Side Event #54 and their winnings. In addition, all players will receive Everest Poker’s exclusive WSOP prize package, including round-trip airfare to Las Vegas and the full Everest VIP treatment —exclusive parties, unlimited access to Everest Poker’s luxury players’ lounge, and assistance from our team of experienced PR professionals to maximize the player’s visibility among the international poker media.

Qualification for the 2010 World Series of Poker® has begun at Everest Poker. Direct Entries for both the Main Event and Side Event #54 run twice a week through June 16. Players may satellite in for as little as $2 when they climb the Everest Poker Steps Sit & Gos or play in daily Step Jumper tournaments.

UB.com celebrating Duke's big win

UB.com celebrating Duke's big win

29 Mar 2010

MIAMI, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- To celebrate Annie Duke's historic win at the 2010 National Heads Up Poker Championship ("NHUPC"), UB.com launches a monthly $1000+50 buy-in Heads Up tournament this Sunday, March 28th at 13:00 ET, to be hosted by Team UB's Duke. With a guaranteed prize pool of $128,000 on the table and a bounty on Duke's head, now's the time for poker players to take a swing at the champ, and walk away with a share of thousands of dollars in prize money while banking some serious bragging rights.

"I am thrilled that UB is introducing this new, monthly Heads Up event. The higher buy-in events on UB have been so successful and the market for them continues to grow," said UB's Card Room Consultant Annie Duke. "Adding this exciting heads up format to the high limit mix is a great sign that UB continues to tweak the tournament schedule to give players what they want."

Duke, the first woman ever to win the NHUPC, will host the monthly Heads Up event, scheduled on the last Sunday of every month at 13:00 ET at UB.com. Players can face-off against the newly crowned queen of the cards each month in the $128K GTD Heads Up Match in two ways: they can pony up the $1000+50 to buy in directly, participate in one of the many daily satellites with a buy-in of $100+9 starting at 16:10 ET, or try their luck in one of the cheaper qualifiers from as little as $8+.80, which kick off at 10:30 ET every day.

Take a shot at dethroning the 2010 National Heads Up Poker Champion in this Sunday's inaugural $128K GTD Heads Up Match, and the lucky player who manages to 'K.O.' Duke wins a $500+30 seat at the following Sunday's $200K Guaranteed tournament at the leading online poker site.

During April and May, to coincide with the April 18th debut of the NBC NHUPC broadcast schedule, UB will also be giving away 4 seats to each of the April 25th and May 30th $128K GTD Heads Up Matches. Two of these special satellite seats per month will be awarded via two freeroll events, with the other pair up for grabs in two $1 buy-in events. If a player qualifies for the Heads Up Match by any one of these four events, and then goes on to send Duke to the rails, they will win the usual Duke bounty of the $200K GTD tournament entry, plus pocket $1500 in tournament dollars.

Duke bested a 64-player field that was riddled with the biggest names in poker to earn her remarkable National Heads Up victory. With this year's NHUPC title and the half-million dollar prize money added to her career highlights, the UB Pro has reasserted herself as Poker's most visible woman in the game.

Online poker players looking for a piece of the Annie Duke Heads Up action should check the "Events" Tab in the UB.com tournament lobby, with qualifiers listed in the "Satellites" Tab.
